MBM Omega to switch over to electric vans for deliveries

1 min

100% electric deliveries

Our existing arrangements for delivery vehicles was coming to a natural end and following a rigorous review of the electric van market the decision was taken to place an order for Ford E-Transits.

Having reviewed the marketplace, driving range was a major consideration about any electric van, and the E-Transit doesn’t disappoint, with a maximum claim of 196 miles per charge, which is further than the other similar models can manage. In short, positive reviews are coming in thick and fast for the Ford BEV like this once from Parkers:

About the Ford E-Transit: “…at this moment in time you’d be mad to consider any other large electric van – nothing else even comes close to delivering such a complete package of pricing and performance. So much so that we suspect the biggest problem here is going to be the length of the queue to get one.”
Parkers (June 2022)

Originally due for delivery in Q2 2023, our local Ford Partner has pulled out all the stops and we take delivery at the beginning of December 2022.

This strategic move enhances our environmental policy and progresses our growing commitment to a more sustainable business. Equally importantly, it also means clients who receive their goods on these vehicles, no CO2 is generated on the deliveries we carry out on their behalf. So, in conjunction with our new Business Intelligence reports we will automatically flag any clients’ location records that are being serviced by electric vans and those locations’ deliveries COwill be mitigated at source. Happy days! For more information on our new Business Intelligence Reporting for Sustainability (or indeed for a sneak preview of the vans in action) please get in touch!
