MBM Omega installs Solar PV system at Head Office

1 min

As part of our target to achieve net zero by 2030 and the government’s target of achieving it by 2050, we have concluded our next step on our journey having installed an array of solar panels on our roof at our premises in Leatherhead. The 24 panels are forecast to make us self-sufficient in terms of own use including charging EVs which we switched our own fleet over to earlier this year to support clients’ eco delivery aspirations in the London area. We are only a few days after installation and seeing batteries – holding up to 27 kW – up to maximum capacity therefore exporting excess energy produced to the grid. We are extremely grateful for the support of LoCase (Low Carbon Across the South & East) whose aim is to help businesses to become more competitive and profitable while protecting the environment and utilising low carbon solutions across different areas of your business. Thanks to LoCase we were provided a 40% grant through the European Regional Development Fund.
