MBM Omega are committed to continuing to deliver the exceptional service that our customers have come to expect from us, and so this is an important step for us, as it allows us to achieve this while ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. Thanks in part to our newest member of the team, Steph, this is one of the many steps that we are taking alongside installing anti-bacterial gel dispensers and social distancing signage.
What is the COVID-19 secure business certification?
The COVID-19 secure business certification is one of the latest initiatives from the government in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, which is designed to help UK businesses continue to operate while protecting employees and clients.
To achieve the certification, you are required to carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment, sharing the results with all members of staff. You must then create cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with government guidance, as well as taking all reasonable steps to help people work from home if they are unable to work from a COVID-19 secure workplace. Finally, you must take all steps to maintain a 2m social distance in the workplace, or at least a 1m distance where staff are unable to keep to 2m distancing. All of these come together to show that you, as a business, have taken all the mitigating actions possible to manage transmission risk.
