Brighter for our people

We hold the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 (quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (environment) accreditations, providing a solid foundation for ethical, sustainable and quality driven business growth. We look after our people and make sure that everyone is involved and has an input into achieving shared goals. We support flexible and remote working, run an apprenticeship scheme, encourage social and team activities, and regularly survey our staff to see where we can improve and what we can do better. Because we recruit very carefully, we have the confidence in our people to offer them a structured career path and a programme of continuous personal development. This inspires them to stay with us longer and to achieve more.

We believe in building honest and open relationships with our clients based on integrity, transparency, good communications and ethical business practices. We also work closely with our clients to help meet specific environmental objectives. With a free Green Audit, we can offer an alternative choice of environmentally friendly products and services without compromising cost or performance. In addition, our team advises on waste disposal in accordance with the WEEE Directive, sets up waste collection services for recycling a range of office products and offers closed loop recycling. We can also advise on energy and light-saving solutions for your work environment.

We hold the rigorous ISO 14001:2015 certification and this supports our on-going commitment to identifying, controlling and improving the environmental impact of our activities, products and services. It’s a commitment that’s documented in our Environmental Policy and is reflected in every area of our business. Our environmental performance is monitored by a system of regular audits and backed by a programme of continuous development.

We help our clients make environmentally responsible buying decisions by highlighting and advising on the environmentally friendly product and service options within our range and we are continuously expanding our choice of greener alternatives. We encourage clients to order online and consolidate purchases to reduce unnecessary deliveries and packaging. To minimise waste, recyclable and reusable packaging is used wherever possible and all waste is disposed of responsibly.

Our warehouse and logistics team use sophisticated planning techniques to ensure efficient delivery processes and our modern vehicle fleet complies with EU directives on low fuel consumption and emissions.

  • Water-based inks: we use water-based inks for printing, minimising the emission of harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the environment.
  • Reusable delivery pallets: we upcycle all delivery pallets and promote the re-use of them.
  • Compact packaging: we optimise our packaging designs to minimise waste, using smaller, more efficient boxes to reduce the overall packaging footprint.
